Beyond Rubies, Ltd.

While raising my son, I spent countless hours volunteering for civic, religious/spiritual and scouting organizations working with youth from a variety of cultural and social backgrounds. While working with these children, it became very clear to me that most of our children cannot see their own true potential. Did you know that every day among American youth more than 11,000 try alcohol; 2,700 will have tried cocaine for the first time; almost 400 will try heroin; and over 3,500 will have attempted suicide? Did you know that domestic violence is on the rise? It's gone up 33% over last year and it's climbing. And we think, "Not in our family, not in our neighborhood". Well, YES, in our families and neighborhoods!! Each and every one of us is affected.

Can we help? The answer is yes!!

The journey and the world of possibilities are endless. We have the ability to create our own destiny. It is up to us, yes, each and every one of us to enable our youth to see that. It is because of this that Beyond Rubies was created.
